This privacy policy sets out how GC Integral Communications Ltd (trading as cheddar.ie) collects, uses 

and protects any information that you provide to us in accordance with the European General Data

personal data that we process through other interactions with individuals in the course of running our

are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

If you request a quote we’ll collect:

• Your name 
• Contact address  
• Email address 
• Telephone number 
• Meter readings 
• Other details we need to provide the quote

If you become a customer, we’ll also collect:

• Name and contact details of individuals authorised to access your account 
• Previous address history 
• Your date of birth 
• Bank account or payment details 

If you contact our customer services operatives by telephone, we may collect:

• Recordings of your calls. 

Whether information has to be provided by you and if so why

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and 

you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are 

trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with energy). In this case, we may have to 

cancel the contract you have with us but we will notify you if this is the case at the time. 

Who we share your personal data with and why

At all times, you have the right to report a concern or lodge a complaint with the Commission for

calling them on 1890 404 404. Of course, we hope that we can resolve your issue quickly and fairly 

ourselves. 

Keeping your personal information secure 

We have numerous safeguards in place to reasonably and adequately protect personally identifiable 

information. • Our databases are protected by technical and procedural measures that restrict 

information access to authorised persons. Only employees/agents who need the information to perform 

a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees/agents are kept 

up to date on our security and privacy practices. • Security software/firewall/encryption

This privacy notice was last updated on 17th June 2022 and historic versions can be obtained by 

contacting us. 

This Privacy Policy does not form part of any customer’s contract with us and we may amend it from 

time to time.  Any changes we make in the future will be posted on our website.​
